Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is a famous American woman in business. She is the owner and president of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is an California native, and was raised by an affluent family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon and later owner of Lakers, among other businesses. In 1972, her parents separated together and she felt left out. At the age of 19, she began working in the family business. She later set up her own Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. Before becoming vice president for the Lakers in 2013, she was president of the Great Western Forum. Buss was the father of her deceased father in 2013 which is when the Lakers were inherited from him by her as well as five of her siblings by way of a trust. Each of the siblings had equally many votes. Buss assumed the position of the president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also part-owner of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling group).
