Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born into a musical family on August 9th, 1963, in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singing star Dionne Warwick. The singer began her singing career in the choir of her church The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark when she was a child at the age of 15, she had begun singing backing vocals professionally with her mother on Chaka Khan's hit song from 1978 Im Every Woman. The singer went on to sing the backing vocals of Jermaine and Lou Rawls as well as her mother, and also did a brief stint as models on the front cover of Seventeen magazine in 1981. She started as a featured performer for the New York-based New York Funk band Material. Her quality of vocal work attracted attention from major record label Arista which she joined in 1983. Whitney Houston became the top-selling debut album for an artist in the year. All My Love was released in 1985 and was a top one single. The album was sold out of 3 million copies during its debut season in the US and went on to sell 25 million worldwide winning her the first of her six Grammies. The Whitney 1987 release, which included The album's tracks, such as Where Do Broken Hearts and I Wanna Dance With Somebody as songs, grew on her success. The 1992 film The Bodyguard sealed her spot as one of the most successful musicians in history. Although her performance in the film and its soundtrack were not well-received but her Dolly Parton cover I Will Always Love You as well as the album accompanying it were top of the charts all over the world for months. Her daughter Bobbi was born the month of March in 1993. This was the year following her wedding to Bobby Brown. The beginning of her addiction to drugs came in the middle of 1993 and in 1996, she'd been a frequent user.
Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN political reporter and anchorwoman. The anchorwoman produced a number of shows on weekends for the network, such as Evans & Novak: Late Edition" and Inside Politics." She worked previously for NBC and CBS.
