Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), better known as Aisling Bea is an Irish comedy writer and actress. Bea began her stand-up comedy career in the year 2011, following appearances as a guest on a variety of Irish television shows and British series since 2009. In 2012, she was frequently being featured on sketch comedy programs and sitcoms. After winning an award during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began getting booked on a regular basis for various panel shows where she is now a regular. In 2016, and 2017 she served as a team leader on 8 Out of 10 Cats. In addition, she's competing on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Born to Brian O'Sullivan, she is the mother of one sister named Sinead. It was only the second woman to be awarded So You Think You're Funny in 2012. Bea's father Brian, an equine vet who committed suicide after Bea reached the age of three, was also one of the victims of suicide. The news of his death at 13 years old. Bea as well as her sister Sinead and her sister Sinead, were raised under the guidance of Helen Moloney (nee Moloney) as a former jockey and teacher at a secondary-school.
